Accessibility Statement
What we have done, what we do not yet know and how you can help us improve.
Goal
We want this site to be usable by everyone. The conformance target is WCAG 2.2 level AA.
What is implemented
- Semantic HTML structure, with heading hierarchy, a “Skip to content” link and the language declared on each page.
- Keyboard navigation and a visible focus indicator; the mobile menu and the gallery (with enlargement) work with the keyboard.
- Descriptive alternative text on all photographs and colour contrasts designed for comfortable reading.
- External links are flagged, including for screen readers.
- Respect for the system’s reduced-motion preference.
Known limitations
- There has not yet been a third-party accessibility audit or testing with assistive-technology users.
- Booking.com, Google Maps and Facebook are third-party services outside our control.
- The house is old and has interior staircases; see the story page and contact us to learn more about physical access.
